A Canadian born of parents from London, Gregory Edwards has had a lifelong fascination with architecture and its decoration.
In 1991 he published a paperback book titled, ‘Hidden Cities: Art and Design in Architectural Details of Vancouver and Victoria’, which won a City of Vancouver Heritage book award.
More recently he has been writing a series of e-books about London’s Art Deco architecture, beginning in September 2014 with: ‘London Deco: Offices’, that you can find on Apple Books.
This was the first publication dedicated exclusively to examining the city’s considerable collection of Art Deco office buildings, most of them situated in central London.
The book series is a real labour of love as Gregory goes into painstaking detail about each design and the history behind it.
The other books available on Apple Books feature Art Deco residences and entertainment venues, and really are a fascinating insight into the remarkable range of Art Deco styles in the UK capital.
All books in the series are profusely illustrated with some truly wonderful photographs and the ones shown above are available to download from Apple Books.
If you are interested in London and love the decadence and flourish of Art Deco, look no further. Gregory has even produced a free introductory edition in case you would like to sample some of his wares before diving in fully.
There are also additional volumes available exclusively on Amazon for download to Kindle:
