The story continues featuring our favourite characters from book one, Gary Thorn, the not very successful legal assistant who constantly seems to attract strife, his new beau & book one survivor Emily, his frumpy but kind-hearted neighbour Grace, and of course her loyal and always hungry dog Lassoo.

The squirrel is back too, though Gary also converses with a seagull this time around.

The hilarious read moves to the seaside city of Brighton for this instalment, where Emily revamps a hotel that she inherited from her largely estranged father.
